Shooting Star CHASE

Challenge

Shooting Star and CHASE hospice care for children, merged on 1st April 2011.  Our task was to digitally re-launch Shooting Star CHASE as one combined brand, catering to two distinct, yet equally important audiences; providing key information for both supporters (looking to donate, fundraise or volunteer) and families with children with life-limiting conditions.

 

Results & Impact

WSM Digital was challenged to design and build a website and eCRM campaign that seamlessly united two established and well-loved charities, retaining the core values of both organisations and their supporters. 

 

The website was to be used primarily as a fundraising tool and therefore the donation process needed to be very simple to enable users to donate to this worthy cause quickly and easily.

 

Ensuring the site was accessible for users with disabilities was a key requirement in the initial brief. The design is clean and uncluttered to allow users to easily navigate throughout the site and complies with industry accessibility guidelines. The look and feel is soft, friendly, warm and inviting, which is particularly important considering the nature of the charity’s work.

 

Since launch, Shooting Star CHASE have seen the average number of monthly visitors to the site almost double. Looking to the future Shooting Star CHASE are planning to add richer content catering to their teen audience and an online shop selling merchandise and other products.
