Appointed by Aberdeen in 2002 to develop an integrated sponsorship strategy for the company.
Following a successful 3 year sponsorship of the Oxbridge University Boat Race, WSM created a comprehensive golf sponsorship strategy for Aberdeen.
The strategy formed a solid foundation to deliver against key AAM objectives, whilst also offering exposure from grassroots to the highest level of the professional game.
Our role covered contract negotiation to day-to-day management of AAM’s portfolio of professional golfers, including Colin Montgomerie and Paul Lawrie.
The sponsorship programme now spans Aberdeen’s Global Headquarters and includes a large portfolio of ambassadors and innovative sponsorship assets in the US, Asia and Europe. 2011 saw the successful inaugural Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week and the launch of a Social Media platform across all activity.
